The Begining…

Founder

Born in Punjab spend most of her life in Kenya and UK. She started her charitable work in Kenya in the 40 during the war by opening skill center for women and her first project was to build a Crematorium in Nairobi followed by organizing food and clothing collection for the Refugees in India during and after the partition. She organized groups of ladies who would meet once a week in their locality and sing Hymns, socialize and collect funds for charitable and good causes and supports those who were in need. This continues till now both in Kenya and UK.

She would help women in need especially widows and battered and ill treated by their husbands. Keeping this in mind she established two Gurdwaras in memory of Bebe Nanki at Birminghum, UK , and at Sultanpur Lodhi, Punjab, following by this hospital in memory of Mata Nanki. (Bebe Nanki was Guru Nanak Jee Sister and Mata Nanki was Guru Gobing Jee Grandmother).

Vision & Mission

She started organizing medical camps at Sultanpur to treat patients suffering from Polio and Eye related complaints. There were always more patients than could be treated. This led her to set up this Hospital where people can get a year round service as and when needed.

The Mission is to provide Medical care to the poor at affordable costs and free to those who can not afford to pay. No one is asked to pay up front or refused admission. Mata Nanki Charitable Hospital has become the preferred Hospital in the area.

Mata Nanki Charitable Hospital

Mata Nanki Charitable Hospital was established by Mata Nanki Foundation, U.K. for providing good health care facilities to the people of Punjab. Bibi Balwant Kaur Ji, Founder of Mata Nanaki Foundation, has dream to start a hospital. In this area, many of people are not able to go hospitals because these hospitals either are far or have to be paid highly fees. So, with the help of donors around the world, this hospital was started
